I think the BBC offers a wide variety of programmes. Its radio services cater to Asian minorities such as myself (Asian network) and with its web based service I can listen to it from any part of the world. The BBC is very much a part of the British culture. Its support from the licensing fees helps us stay away from dreaded advertisements and in turn does not put pressure on the BBC to show or not show programmes, which will increase or decrease revenues. Its digital television programmes such as CBBC is enjoyed by my niece and nephews and gives us an alternative to American based media. Also as it is currently free, not having to pay cable operators’ money is also a relief. Overall I think BBC is doing a good job and I as a viewer and fee payer think I am getting my monies worth regards, Miss Saimah Iqbal
