I would like to express my appreciation of the BBC's new digital services. It is fantastic to live in a country where you have a varied range of channels without advertisers brain washing you with their products. It is great to know that there are channels you can entrust your children to watch without being manipulated into buying toys and junk food! I would however like to express my disappointment that the quality of audio on DAB digital broadcasts are not of the quality you would expect from the BBC. In fact all BBC DAB broadcasts - except Radio 3 - are no higher than 128kbps, which is lower than most DAB stations around europe. Through research I have found that the BBC would require more space to be allocated for them to be able to provide their stations at, what I feel, would be an exceptional standard (which is 192kbps or higher). I feel this is of the upmost importance as you can at the moment get better quality sound from a good FM signal than with DAB! Please can the government see fit to allocate the BBC more space to provide a quality service like they have in Germany. Regards Justin Coll
