All the BBC programmes are far superior to any others - I hate American series with their false laughter and trite storylines, they are numbing the brains of our young people. Digital TV is great when it works ( I live in Devon and have difficulties in getting good reception some of the time) but BBC 3 & 4 have ocassionally offered an alternative excellent watching experience although I do not think any other channel come up to BBC 1. Channel 5 is usually disapointing and Channel 4 often too vulgar. I never watch sport except for Wimbledon. There is nothing as boring as Big Brother and all the other useless 'watching people' programmes. Please, more good drama, more films, more British comedy and more of the fantastic series that BBC is so good at. Radio is excellent, I usually listen to local Radio or Radio 4, sometimes Radio 2 I love the plays, quizzes, music and comedy - what happened to the lovely old ladies of letters etc (Prunella Scales and Patricia Routledge), they used to make short appearances on Woman's Hour havn't heard from them for a while, have I missed them or are they finished? I always think it should be broadcast as a whole play it is so very funny.
