Role play with Amelia Fewtrill and the My World exhibition

WHAT YOU CAN SEE AT THE HERBERT

As a focus for the City's cultural heritage, the Museum offers a fascinating visit with international appeal. Enjoy the Godiva City exhibition, one thousand years of Coventry's history, told through historical treasures, interactive games, archive film and objects to handle.

Kabhi Ritz Khabie Palladium
The Asian cinema scene continues at the Herbert with Kabhi Ritz Khabie Palladium which brings to life Coventry's historic Asian cinema scene with film footage, classic film clips, photographs and memories. Following the success of our screenings of Mother India, we present some of India's greatest films along with a Kabhi Kabhi Weekend Extravaganza.

My World
A fun and creative exhibition for 3-5 year olds with activities in art and craft, dressing up, playing with shadows and interacting with a giant cartoon!

Plus a wide range of changing exhibitions and displays throughout the year.

Visit the What's On section to see our current programme.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS AT THE HERBERT

Work is now well under way at The Herbert on the redevelopment of a large part of the building on the corner of Jordan Well and Bayley Lane. The changes to the building will result in a new entrance, a new café, education space for schools, training and meeting rooms and new gallery space and multi-media (audio, video and ICT) and arts information spaces linked to the Creative Coventry programme. Further phases of development are being planned which will result in:

A Coventry History Centre to promote and make accessible the heritage of the city and its people.
New exhibitions which tell the story of the city and its people
A frontage to the Cathedral and University
New gallery spaces which will enable the city to receive high profile 'blockbuster' national and international
touring exhibitions
Gallery spaces for local artists and craftspeople to exhibit their work.

At the moment we are unable to provide café facilities in the building and there is a new, temporary entrance. We regret any inconvenience that this causes our customers.

A full programme of exhibitions and events are being maintained throughout this period.
