Welcome to the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence Procurement
Portal.
The UK MoD Procurement Portal is designed to give the defence procurement
community, both buyers and suppliers, a single point of reference
for all procurement related, news, information, guidance, contract
announcements and e-services.
The MoD Procurement Portal is divided into three areas: Buyer Area,
Supplier Area and a publicly accessible area. Each area is described
below.

The Buyer Area (Registration Required)
The Buyer Area is a registration-required area dedicated to the
news, information and procurement tools and services for the MoD
procurement professional. This is a FREE CHARGE service brought
to you by The Defence Supplier Service (DSS)
and BiP Solutions
funded through subscriptions to MoD
DCB services. Upon registration and approval by the MoD an approved
buyer will have access to range of tools and services to aid in
the practice of Best Value and SMART procurement.
The Supplier Area
The Supplier Area is divided into two separate Areas: The Free
Resource Area and The Subscribers Area. Each Area is described below.
Supplier
Free Resource Area (Registration Required)
The Resource Area is a registration-required FREE of CHARGE service
brought to you by the Defence Supplier Service (DSS) and BiP Solutions primarily
supported through subscriptions to MoD DCB services. Upon registration
the supplier will receive an email confirmation of their registration
and a unique password to log into the Supplier Area.

MoD Defence Contracts Bulletin (MoD DCB)
Suppliers also have the option to subscribe to the UK
Ministry of Defence: Defence Contracts Bulletin (MoD
DCB).
The MoD Procurement Portal is the home of the MoD Defence Contracts
Bulletin (MoD DCB), the WEAG
focal point for The United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence
contracting opportunities and announcements.
Suppliers have the option to subscribe to the MoD DCB in the
format of their choice: fortnightly print publication, online
search service or weekly CDROM (to be launched in December 2002).

MoD DCB Archive Service (Subscription Required)
The MoD Procurement Portal is also host to the MoD DCB Archive
Service. This online service allows 24/7 access to all contract
announcements published over the last five years. Divided into
years (starting from 1997) marketing analysts, researchers and
new business developers can research the procurement practices
and patterns as published in the MoD DCB (previously MoD CB and
DE WSO).

Defense Contracts International (DCI)
Suppliers wishing to view contract announcements and opportunities
from the EC Member States (the OJEC), the USA, Japan, South America
and many more export markets can subscribe to BiP Solutions’s Defense
Contracts International Contract Search Service. Upon subscription
the supplier gets access to ALL areas of the Supplier Area within
the UK MoD Procurement Portal as well as 24/7 day a week online
access to DCI, the ultimate contract opportunity search service.

The Public Area (No Registration Required)
The Public Area of the MoD Procurement Portal gives anyone with
an Internet link an introduction to selling to the MoD. The goal
is to provide a regularly updated, clearly presented and comprehensively
explained introduction to selling to the MoD. Intended for the ‘new’
or ‘curious’ supplier the open access area of the MoD
Procurement Portal is designed to give those thinking about selling
to the UK MoD the most comprehensive and up-to-date information
possible. Suppliers can also use the online form to request an MoD
Supplier Information Pack to be shipped directly free of charge.
