Remedies Standing Group

The Remedies Standing Group carries out a number of functions on behalf of the CC in relation to remedies. These include:

  • Evaluating remedies outcomes
  • Developing remedies policy
  • Overseeing implementation of structural remedies
  • Reviewing undertakings or orders for release or variation

The latter two functions are undertaken by the RSG in the absence of a specific group appointed to manage the case. Operational responsibility for the RSG lies with the Chief Financial & Business Advisor & Head of Remedies and a nominated Director of Remedies.

Evaluating remedies outcomes

The CC is committed to a rolling programme of research into past remedies, with the aim of ensuring that learning points are captured and fed into the development of remedies policy and practice.
