Dr Peter Davis

Dr Peter Davis Dr Peter Davis is to begin his appointment as Deputy Chairman in September 2006, joining the Competition Commission from his current position as Leverhulme Lecturer at the London School of Economics. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Yale and served on the faculty of MIT before joining LSE in 2002. His academic work includes contributions to the Journal of Law and Economics, the European Economic Review, the Journal of Econometrics, the Journal of Industrial Economics (JIE) and the RAND Journal of Economics. He currently serves as an associate editor of the JIE and also of Economica. In addition to his research activities, he has substantive experience of providing expert advice, reports and evidence to both private clients and antitrust authorities, including his previous service on the Competition Commission's Academic Panel of Expert Economists, 2004-2006.
