Jill Hill (appointed in 2005) was a Director of Remploy for seven years, after many years with Rolls-Royce plc. She is currently a Member of the General Teaching Council for England, and a Trustee of Guide Dogs for the Blind. She is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the British Computer Society. She has previously been a non-executive director of NDI Ltd, a member of several trade organisations, including a Regional Council Member and an Education and Training Committee member of the CBI, and a Director of the Employment Related Services association. She was an advisory member to the Foster Review on Further Education.
