The company secretary of Dairy Crest plc is an old friend of the Deputy Director of Financial Analysis although they have not seen one another for over a year. The Deputy Director of Financial Analysis will not have any contact with the company secretary of Dairy Crest during the inquiry period.

The son of one of the Accounting Advisers is employed by Ernst & Young in its Banking and Capital Markets division. Ernst & Young are auditors of Dairy Crest Group plc, but the Accounting Adviser’s son has never worked on this account.

The CC does not believe that these matters will prejudice the ability of the staff team, the Deputy Director of Financial Analysis, or the Accounting Adviser to advise the inquiry group and to administer the investigation in an independent and impartial manner.
