Accent – Consumer Attitudes to Payment Protection Insurance (published 24.06.10)

Document: Accent – Consumer Attitudes to Payment Protection Insurance

This final version of the Accent report was published on 24 June 2010. It differs from the original version published in that it makes the following changes:

• The total number of PLPPI respondents was 403, not 405 as originally shown, and the number of MPPI respondents was 403, not 401 as originally shown.

• Some presentational changes to a couple of tables eg labelling and ordering to make them easier to read.

• Changes to tables 2,12, 13 and 14 primarily to ensure that the cross breaks are consistent across them and to standardise the treatment of ‘refused’ and ‘not knowns’.

• Minor changes to some figures (primarily the t stats) in tables 9, 10 and 11 to standardise the sample edits across the analysis.

All calculations in both the final version and the original version of the report were based on the correct number of respondents and the drafting and calculation errors do not impact upon the conclusions of the report, or upon the CC’s provisional decision.
