Disclosures of interest
GAME Group plc / Game Station Limited.
Members interests:
Mr Alexander Johnston owns around 1000 shares
in J Sainsbury plc shares and around 800 shares in Tesco.
Neither
Mr Johnston, nor
the CC, believes that this matter will prejudice the ability
of the group to discharge its functions in an independent
and impartial manner.
Staff
Mark Thornton-Bryar, Deputy Director of
Financial Analysis at the CC, was a former employee at ‘Infospace’,
a games developer and publisher for the mobile phone platform.
He was involved in the setting up of the European games
development arm of Infospace; in the acquisition of two
mobile phone games developers; and in the integration of
these two companies into the European business. He left
Infospace just under two years ago. Mr Thornton-Bryar was
a moderator of Blueyonder’s (Telewest’s) gaming
forum until it was closed a few years ago. He is also a
former moderator of an independent gaming site called www.trickery.net.
As a moderator Mr Thornton-Bryar’s role was to stimulate
discussion and curtail extreme or inflammatory views, and
would therefore not have had a position of bias.
Sherryn Lim, an accountant at the CC, worked in the forensics
department of Clifford Chance, as a forensic accountant,
between 2 May and 26 July 2007. She was never involved with
acquisition due diligence during her time at Clifford Chance,
and has not worked for GAME Group plc or Game Station Limited.
Neither the above-mentioned staff nor the CC believe that
these matters will prejudice the ability of the Group to
discharge its functions in an independent and impartial manner. |
