Mr Peter Jones' wife owns 700 shares BP shares and Mr Jones
holds an Enduring Power of Attorney in respect to the administration
of approximately 1500 BP shares held by his mother. Neither
Mr Jones, nor the CC, believes that this matter will prejudice
the ability of the Group to discharge its functions in an
independent and impartial manner.
Mr Richard Taylor’s former firm, CMS Cameron McKenna
(from which he retired in 2005), advised EWS on a fatal accident
inquest in 2002 and on a tax matter in 2004. CMS Cameron McKenna
also has client relationships with a number of companies which
may provide information to the inquiry, including Bombardier,
W H Davis, BP, Royal Mail, WBB, the MoD, Aggregate Industries,
Network Rail and DfT, but has no current involvement with
any of them in relation to this inquiry. Mr Taylor had no
involvement in or knowledge of any of the matters mentioned
above; neither does he have any ongoing pecuniary relationship
with CMS Cameron McKenna. Neither Mr Taylor, nor the CC, believes
that this matter will prejudice the ability of the Group to
discharge its functions in an independent and impartial manner.
