MANCHESTER AND BAA AIRPORTS INQUIRIES

DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST

David Stark, a member of the Commission inquiry group investigating the airport charges at Manchester Airport has informed us that his son in law, Mr T A Hall, is employed by BAA as a land surveyor at Heathrow Airport. Mr Stark has confirmed that at no time has he discussed any of the information relating to the inquiry, nor any information he has gained about the parallel inquiry into airport charges at Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport and Stansted Airport with Mr Hall, nor will he do so in the future. The Commission is satisfied that his family connection does not compromise Mr Stark’s position as a member of the Manchester Airport group; it is being disclosed because the members of the Manchester Airport group occasionally hold joint meetings with the members of the group conducting the parallel inquiry.
