Expert technical advice on vitamin manufacture is being provided mainly
by PA Technology (consultants: Michael Noble and Carole Sammon).
Although PA has worked with BASF, Hoffmann La Roche, Aventis and Eastman
on a number of projects, none of these have concerned vitamin production.
Neither of the two consultants concerned have been engaged on any assignment
for BASF. A consultant from Arthur O'Little (Dr Enrico Polastro),
who has carried out assignments for many companies in the five chemical
industries, has also agreed to assist by having a more limited discussion
on technical matters with Commission staff. Main parties and third
parties have been invited to comment on any conflicts of interest.
