Summary

This circular amends Circular 01/01: Arrangements for Handling Heritage Applications - Notification and Directions by the Secretary of State and Planning Policy Guidance 15: Planning and the Historic Environment (PPG15) to add the Twentieth Century Society to the list of 'National Amenity Societies'.

Local planning authorities have to inform these groups of all applications for listed building consent and of the decisions taken by them on applications for:

demolition of a listed building or
alteration of a listed building which comprise or include the demolition of any part of that building
