New affordable housing provision

Affordable housing meets the housing needs of the community that are not met by the housing market. Affordable housing includes social rented housing and intermediate housing (eg shared equity). Affordable homes are provided at sub-market prices, and restricted to specified types of household.

Delivering Affordable Housing was published with PPS3 in November 2006 to support key players in delivering more high quality affordable housing andĀ outlines the policy challenge and delivery mechanisms available (providers, products, funding).
