body that may carry out parentage tests (otherwise called DNA Testing or
Paternity Testing) as directed by the civil courts in England and Wales
under section 20
of the Family Law Reform Act 1969.
New HGC Principles
The Depart of Health’s Code of Practice and
Guidance has been replaced by a new set of "Principles" from the
Human Genetic Commission
The purpose of these Principles is to promote high
standards and consistency in the provision of genetic tests amongst commercial
providers at an international level in order to safeguard the interests
of people seeking genetic testing and their families.
