The CESG Claims Tested Mark (CCTM) scheme provides a government quality mark for the public and private sectors based on accredited independent testing, designed to prove the validity of security functionality claims made by vendors. In more colloquial terms, the CCTM is designed to assure public bodies that a product or service does ‘what it says on the box’.
News and updates
CESG would like to announce that it will be bringing the CCTM Secretariat function in house from Quadrant on the 17th January 2011. CESG would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter Hayes and the team at Quadrant for all their efforts and professionalism in running the CCTM Secretariat on CESG's behalf.
Between 17th January and early February 2011 CESG will review the CCTM scheme in consultation with stakeholders and will not accept new CCTM applications until this review is complete. All CCTM work that has been contracted with CESG before 1700 on Friday 14th January 2011 will continue during this period, and all products and service that hold a valid certification will continue to do so.
CESG do not intend to close the CCTM scheme following the review. However, the range of products & services that will be accepted into the CCTM scheme from February 2011 will change in anticipation of the launch and roll out of the Commercial Product Assurance (CPA) scheme scheduled for April 2011.
From Monday 17th January 2011, please use the email address cctm@cesg.gsi.gov.uk or call the CESG Enquiries (01242 709141) number with any further questions.
