Exercise Stratos

Exercise Stratos is a multi-agency exercise delivered through Minerva Hydra technology that tests the responses of all agencies including Local Authorities to terrorist related CBRN incidents.

It is currently being rolled out across Merseyside Local Authority areas but can be easily adapted for use in any part of the country.

Objectives of the exercise include:

• To raise awareness of the regional tier in response

• To ensure effective and consistent strategic responses across agencies and responders

• To test plans - including national mobilisation plans, Home Office plans and Merseyside multi-agency and agency specific plans.

• To test the response of Local Authorities in dealing with a catastrophic event and its aftermath

The exercise has been planned and orchestrated by Merseyside Police on behalf of the North West Resilience Forum.
