This guidance for planners [PDF 49KB, 4 pages](dated 22 October 2009) relates to the current A(H1N1) Swine Flu pandemic and have been updated as our collective understanding of the virus and its impact continues to improve. They provide a common agreed basis for planning across all public and private sector organisations until mid-2010.
Department for Children, Schools and Families - Supporting learning if Schools close for extended periods in a Flu Pandemic [External website] (25 November 2008) When the then DfES issued its initial guidance on planning for a human flu pandemic, the guidance promised that further guidance on remote learning would be issued in due course. After discussions with interested parties, DCSF has now made that guidance available.
