The challenges civil servants face everyday to improve productivity and performance while ensuring successful delivery a greater in the current economic climate than ever before. Gus O’Donnell has said that he is certain the key to meeting these challenges is creativity and innovation and capturing the dynamism and enterprise of the market.
At their best, social enterprises embody all of these factors: they are innovative; entrepreneurial; concerned with aligning the needs of the individual with those of society; and social justice is their guiding principle.
