Angela Smith, Minister for the Third Sector acknowledges and congratulates the winners of this year’s Compact Awards 2009,
“I shall be writing to each of the winners individually to congratulate them on their magnificent achievements throughout the year which have led to them receiving a Compact award today. I am particularly proud to see a Government department being recognised for improving the way it works in partnership with the third sector.
“Across the country there have been some really great achievements and I am pleased that these efforts are being rewarded and recognised. It is important that the winners, and indeed all the nominees, continue to develop partnerships between government and the third sector and help spread the message that working together ultimately helps deliver vital services often to the most in need in society.”
