Background

The London Compact Working Group was established by the Government Office for London in January 2006 to support the development and implementation of local and regional Compacts in the capital by drawing on good practice to share with partners. Every local authority area in London now has a Compact and London was the first region in England to develop a regional Compact. “Working Together: a Compact on relations between the Mayor of London, London Development Agency, Transport for London and London’s Voluntary and Community Sector” was launched on 6 April 2003.
