The Innovation Exchange, the new pilot programme supporting innovation in the third sector – is recruiting a new director to lead its work.
The recruitment drive comes after Phil Hope, the Minister for the Third Sector, announced the winning consortium for the pilot programme last week.
The Innovation Exchange was created to, in the words of the Prime Minister, “bring together the voluntary and public sectors and to develop and share innovative practice
”, and will remove barriers to greater third sector involvement in public services.
The Exchange is looking for an inspirational leader with a passion for social innovation, who will be the public face of the organisation and encourage different audiences to become members and take part in the programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of the organisation, focusing on delivering a programme of support for promising innovators.
More details of the programme and the position are available from Innovation Unit [external website]. The closing date for applications is 17.00 on Monday 20 August 2007.
