Care to Make a Difference
Funded by the Office of the Third Sector, Go-Givers is a Citizenship Foundation project for primary school children, which aims to develop caring, empathetic citizens who have the skills and confidence to make a positive contribution to their communities, through all forms of charitable giving.
How do we do it?
Through an innovative website led by a team of animated characters, Go-Givers provides a host of interactive resources to support activities in primary schools. While covering issues from sustainability and diversity, to making a contribution and friendship, all materials also support teachers in meeting curriculum targets. There is no cost to schools wishing to take part in the project.
The Go-Givers outreach programme provides targeted support and training to schools from experienced primary education specialists – ensuring the website is used to its fullest.
The Go-Givers Make a Difference Challenge works with a selection of schools annually. The challenge supports children in developing a campaign or small social enterprise in aid of an issue they care about; it culminates in a celebration event which brings schools together.
Who do we work with?
Go-Givers was fully rolled out in September 2007 and 7000 teachers in over 3000 schools have now registered for the project.
