Funding, finance and support
The Office of the Third Sector is committed to promoting the development of the sector which includes several oppotunities for third sector organisations to access funding.
For access to over 4000 grants loans and contracts specifically for third sector organisations you can visit the government funding portal for the third sector, www.fundingcentral.org.uk. This is a comprehensive list of funding opportunities (grants, grant in aid and contracts) available from government and government non-departmental bodies and agencies, local and regional government, charitable organisations and foundations, and the EU. It is an interactive site providing a one-stop shop for information and advice about grants and contracts. The site enables third sector organisations to tailor their search to look for fund locally and that specifically meet the needs of their particular group.

The Hardship Fund is now fully allocated and has closed for applications. A total of 193 grants have been made to third sector organisations delivering front-line services to vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
