Preparing children for the 21st centuryProfessor Ann Buchanan, Director of the Oxford Centre for research into Parenting and Children, presented "Preparing children for the 21st century" drawing on fifteen years of research into children at risk of social exclusion. In particular, Professor Buchanan looks at the changes facing children growing up in the 21st Century, the knowledge and skills they will need, and the values she would wish to continue to cultivate.
