Professor Bruce Bueno de Mesquita, from New York University, presented "Planning and Improving Policy with Game Theory" covers issues including predicting and engineering policy results, whether these relate to domestic affairs, international affairs, or business concerns, and how they can be achieved with high reliability through the use of science rather than wisdom or "seat-of-the-pants judgment". Professor Mesquita also demonstrates how applied game theory is a practical tool for solving problems.
