The Strategy Unit alumni network:

• Provides a mechanism for former SU staff to stay in touch with the Stratey Unit
• Helps to build the strategic capability of central government departments as former members of the SU take up positions elsewhere in government
• Provides a channel for the exchange of ideas and knowledge and a mechanism for critical challenge of SU work in progress
• Acts as a network facilitating the recruitment of new staff to the SU
• Builds a cadre of 'innovators' across the public, private and voluntary sectors
