The Task Force is based in the Cabinet Office and reports to Angela Smith, Minister of State for the Cabinet Office. It is led by Rolande Anderson, Director-General of the Office of the Third Sector and Social Exclusion.

The Social Exclusion Task Force was preceded by the former Social Exclusion Unit which was originally established in 1997. Reports published by the Social Exclusion Unit from 1997 until 2006 can be found on our publications page
