Cabinet outside London reports

Prime Minister Gordon Brown talks about the visit

The Cabinet and Ministers have held a number of visits across the regions.  These visits are part of an important process to enable the Cabinet to hear what people across the country really think and take their views on board. To facilitate this, Ministers take part in a public engagement event with around 200 local people.  The meeting and Q&A session covers a variety of subjects ranging from the economy to crime, education and climate change. These discussions are outlined in a summary document which also gives the Government’s response to the issues raised.
