Since the last quarter Mental Disorders have reduced by 1.5%. Musculoskeletal absences have reduced by 0.5% to Nil and Respiratory System related absences have reduced by 2.2%.
The health and wellbeing initiative continued during this period and the number of staff with no sick absence during the period has reduced by 3%.
The next quarterly statistics will be the first provided by a new absence management system put in place from 6 April 2009. This new system will over time provide managers with access to sickness absence information.
The data for the 12 months ending 30 June 2009 will be published in October 2009.
