Legislative Reform Order Consultations

Current consultations

The Legislative Reform Order (LRO) process (like the RRO process before it)  is based on thorough consultation. The first step in making an LRO is wide public consultation of all interested parties. Ministers are obliged to consult those substantially affected by their proposal, as well as relevant organisations such as the Law Commission and, in the case of proposals extending to Wales, the National Assembly.

Completed consultations

All proposed Legislative Reform Orders (LROs) have to go out to consultation. Documents on completed consultations on LRO and RRO proposals have been ordered by the year the consultation was completed. They can be accessed by clicking on the relevant year below:
