TEMPLATE FOR CONSULTATION DOCUMENT

There are certain things that need to be included in your consultation document to ensure that it complies with the code. The templates below will help you.

There are two versions of the template. The template with instructions [PDF - 73.1KB / Word 37.0KB] provides pointers on how to complete each section, whereas the basic template [PDF - 63.5KB / Word - 30.5KB] provides just the headings and suggested text.

There is also further help on how to make your consultation accessible and questions in written consultation documents.

Benefits of using a template:

  • It improves the presentation of documents;
  • It saves time - the format is easy to use and the standard paragraphs can be quickly inserted;
  • It helps stakeholders to navigate the document; and
  • As most membership organisations send a one page summary of a consultation to their members, if you provide a clear summary you ensure that your account of the main changes is used.
