The Team

The BRT consists of three private sector secondees and three civil servants all of whom bring diverse skills and experience to the group.

• Ian Morfett, Deputy Director of the Regulatory Impact Unit (RIU) and Head of the BRT, is an accountant and economist by training.  Ian is on secondment from BT where his most recent roles included strategy, regulation, public affairs and product management.
  
• Eric Arnold, a Senior Policy Advisor with a background in finance, consultancy and project management.  Eric is on secondment from HSBC.
  
• Chris Buxton, a Senior Policy Advisor, with extensive sales and marketing experience.  Chris is on secondment from Alenia Marconi Systems (AMS Ltd.).
  
• Ajit Philipose, a Senior Policy Advisor, is on secondment from the Inland Revenue where he undertook a range of tax policy postings. Ajit  is an accountant by background.
  
• David Kavanagh, has held various posts throughout the Civil Service and was finance and planning officer for the RIU until joining the BRT as a policy adviser.
  
• Gareth Evans, a finance and administrative officer by background, provides business and research support to the BRT.
