Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to the UK

The UK is honoured that Pope Benedict XVI will make the first official Papal Visit to the UK from 16-19 September 2010.

The visit provides an unprecedented opportunity to strengthen ties between the UK and the Holy See on global initiatives and to reaffirm the important role of faith in creating strong communities. Pope Benedict XVI will visit the UK as Head of State of the Holy See and as the leader of a major denomination.
