Description: The document and schemas describe the technical interface specifications for the Rent Service Electronic Interface System (EIS) application software. The latest set is Version 3.8 (previous versions are also available for information). The reason for the latest changes is to provide the framework for further development of the application to provide an additional type of StatusReport, the need for which has become evident following increased take-up of the EIS.
Since changes were being made, the opportunity has also been taken to implement a local data pattern for the National Insurance Number to allow for new prefixes and the suffixes used in temporary numbers. Version 3.8 of the schemas have recently been available for consultation along with The Rent Service Electronic Fair Rent Schemas and The Rent Service Market Evidence Schema.
The period of public consultation for this schema was set at 6 weeks, the closing date was 15th June 2007.
