Description: Connexions is the government support service for all young people aged 13 to 19 in England. The service aims to provide integrated advice, guidance and access to personal development opportunities for this group and to help them make a smooth transition to adulthood and working life. All young people aged 13-19 can have access to a Connexions Personal Adviser (PA) who can provide front line advice and support on any issues they choose, from education and careers options through to personal problems such as bullying, depression, drug abuse or sexual health. Connexions is being delivered through 47 local Partnerships. Connexions joins up the work of six government Departments and their agencies and organisations on the ground, together with private and voluntary sector groups and youth and careers services.
A National Connexions Customer Information System (NCCIS) provides Management Information (MI) both for the Department for Education and Skills and Supporting Children and Young People’s Group (SCYPG) and for Connexions Partnerships.
An interface between the NCCIS and the various CCIS located within each Partnership allows the transfer of information between the two. This XML schema describes the content and format of that information.
