Sir Michael Pitt

Mike graduated from University College London in 1970 with a first class honours degree in Engineering.

He has worked for the Civil Service, Private Sector and Local Government, with the majority of his career in County Council Technical Departments.

During 1990 he was appointed as Chief Executive of Cheshire County Council and then Chief Executive of Kent County Council in 1997. In April 2006, Mike was appointed to his current post of Chair for NHS South West.

Mike is now living near Malmesbury in Wiltshire, and is married with two daughters.
