Course Title: Strategic Leadership of CBRN Recovery
Who Should Attend
- Chief Executives of local authorities who have direct responsibility for the leadership of the recovery process.
- Strategic managers of any public sector organisation that plays a significant role in recovery following a CBRN attack.
- Board of director level managers of major businesses, facilities or places of significant public resort which may be considered a CBRN risk.
- Those with a national, regional or devolved government policy responsibility for strategic CBRN recovery development.
Aim
To provide an understanding of the demands of senior management and leadership in CBRN recovery.
Objectives: By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Appreciate the unique elements of CBRN Understand the complexity of the CBRN event response and recovery process.
- Understand the strategic roles and responsibilities of agencies.
- Identify the difference between a normal recovery process and that of CBRN.
- Review the strategic elements contained within national recovery guidance for England, Scotland and Wales.
- Understand the role, function and structure of a Strategic Co-ordinating Group, as it relates to recovery from a CBRN event Rehearse the unique challenges of strategic leadership in the recovery phase of a CBRN incident.
