Chairs and members of Local Resilience Forum Telecommunications Sub Groups (TSGs), Strategic Coordination Groups in Scotland, and emergency planning and business continuity practitioners from the public and private sectors in Great Britain and Northern Ireland for whom effective telecommunications and information sharing are critical.

Aim

To examine the need for interoperable and resilient telecommunications in Integrated Emergency Management.

Objectives

By the end of this event you will be able to:

Describe the UK Government principles of resilient telecommunications
Identify planning assumptions, risks and control measures related to telecommunications
Describe the framework for information sharing and its communications requirements
Assess a range of telecommunications tools.

Pre-Requisites

The Telecommunications Basics for Emergency Planners and Business Continuity Managers course may be used as preparation for this course.
