Who Should Attend
For emergency planners responsible for the planning and management of emergency assistance centres. Participants will include Police Officers and Local Authority staff as well as other statutory and voluntary organisations responsible for developing a capability to deliver the range of emergency assistance centres including survivor reception centres, family and friends reception centres, rest centres and humanitarian assistance centres.
Please note – this course is NOT intended to provide operational training. Those interested in operational training for rest centre managers should be directed to the WRVS website: http://www.wrvs.org.uk/
Aim
To enable delegates to manage emergency assistance centres.

By the end of this event you will be able to:
Pre-Requisites
A good working knowledge of the Civil Contingincies Act (2004) will be assumed. This can be obtained by attending our Introduction to Civil Protection course. The Introduction to Humanitarian Assistance in Emergencies course would also be desirable but not essential.
Progression
Subsequent attendance on the Emergency Evacuation and Shelter course may be appropriate.
