CBRN & Nuclear Emergency 

Course Title:  Introduction to CBRN

Who Should Attend

• Staff involved in planning the activity of public agencies with responsibility for dealing with a CBRN attack. Managers of facilities which may be considered a CBRN risk.
• Those with a national, regional or devolved government responsibility for CBRN policy or capability development.
• Those who need an understanding of the emergency arrangements for dealing with CBRN incidents affecting the UK population (non-specialist, tactical level managers, media specialists etc).

Aim

To provide a basic introduction to the CBRN threat in the UK and an overview of the multi-agency approach to planning for, responding to and recovering from a CBRN event.

Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

• Describe the elements of the CBRN capability
• Identify the roles and responsibilities of the agencies involved in a CBRN response
• Explain the requirement for detailed advance planning and preparation
• Analyse the Model Response to a CBRN incident.
