Description
HP ProtectTools Email Release Manager enforces an email security policy by providing facilities to electronically sign, encrypt, and audit emails to ensure your organisation is in control of email activity with minimum impact on users.
HP ProtectTools Email Release Manager covers the claims made for the main features of product as summarised below:
- Release of email controlled at the desktop by a centrally–defined policy according to rules defined in terms of message label and destinations.
- The rules can deny transmission and where transmission is allowed can specify use of digital signatures, message encryption (via standard Microsoft facilities or using Identifier & Criteria-based methods), and application of Rights Management templates. The rules can also specify where auditing occurs.
- Virus Throttling techniques prevent email flood conditions by ensuring that emails are transmitted at a controlled rate irrespective of the rate at which a (possibly infected) email client is attempting to send them.
