CIPCOG have been running events on a regular basis since September 2004.
The 10th CIPCOG event will take place at the Gosforth Park Hotel, Newcastle on 27th September 2007. The theme will be Trusted Computing.
Trusted Computing (TC) is a technology promoted by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) and means that a computer platform will behave consistently in specific ways and those behaviours will be forced by hardware and software. The TCG is a not–for–profit organisation formed to develop, define and promote open specifications for trusted computing and security technologies, including hardware building blocks and software interfaces, across multiple platforms, peripherals and devices. Entry is free to all delegates.
Each CIPCOG event has a similar format with varying themes, which have included:
‘Good for Networking, specific focus rather than a mix of different types of products and services’
– Police Information Technology Organisation (PITO)
