Civil Information Assurance Products and Services Co–ordination Group (CIPCOG)
What is CIPCOG?
Civil Information Assurance Products and Services Co-ordination Group (CIPCOG) is a public sector forum that is chaired by CSIA and works to deliver the Information Assurance (IA) requirements of the civil public sector.
The responsibilites of CIPCOG include:
- Defining and promoting the low information assurance requirements for products and services for the civil public sector;
- Managing the introduction and operation of a scheme to provide a basic level of assurance for information security products and services available to the civil public sector. This scheme is known as the CSIA Claims Tested (CCT) Mark Scheme.
- Sharing information and liasing with the Defence INFOSEC Product Co–Operation Group (DIPCOG) and the Scottish Information Assurance Forum (SIAF).
- Promoting and facilitating events for civil public sector users and vendors to meet and discuss information assurance requirements for products and services.
The 10th CIPCOG event will take place at the Gosforth Park Hotel, Newcastle on 27th September 2007.
CIPCOG brings together representatives from central and local Government, public sector organisations and Industry. The group reports to GIPSI. The membership of CIPCOG is reviewed on an annual basis and currently includes the following organisations:
