Public bodies and appointments

The Cabinet Office provides advice and guidance on the public bodies sector. This includes advice on the creation of new public bodies, on the organisation and management of public bodies and on appointments to the boards of public bodies.

The Cabinet Office publishes a list of all non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs) annually, together with information on the staffing, funding and expenditure of the NDPB sector and statistical information on public appointments.

The Cabinet Office also maintains a list of all ministerial government departments, non-ministerial government departments and executive agencies.
