Identification and engagement of stakeholders and effective communication are critical to a successful shared services implementation. Like any major change there is likely to be some resistance. It is essential to achieve senior buy–in and to understand your stakeholders, their perspective and their level of influence.
Everyone in the organisation will want the answer to the question ‘how does this affect me?’. A communications strategy and plan, plus high quality communication products will be essential.
