How we recruit

The recruitment process

We want to recruit the best talent available. Our Human Resources Recruitment Team are responsible for ensuring that the whole recruitment process is as fair and open as possible.

Each post is inevitably different but all Cabinet Office vacancies follow a competency based recruitment process. If your application is shortlisted you can generally expect to be invited for a panel interview to see how your skills and experience match the competencies needed for the job.

We strive to be fair, open and effective in our selection and recruitment. All appointments being made on the basis of merit. We try to ensure that access to our vacancies is as wide as possible. We regularly monitoring our recruitment and selection procedures to make sure they do not unfairly disadvantage anyone. We have a guaranteed interview scheme for disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria.
