Cabinet Office Structure

Systems and processes exist within the Cabinet Office to ensure recruitment is carried out in accordance with the Recruitment Code published by the Office of the Civil Service Commissioners (OCSC) [External website]. These systems are subject to an annual independent internal check. The last full audit was carried out by the OCSC in 2007.

The numbers of staff joining the Cabinet Office through open competition are published annually together with the numbers of appointments made under permitted exceptions.
